Is the app compatible with Android auto, Apple CarPlay? If not, is it possible? Are there plans to add this functionality?

I think you should make this a high priority. I had a garage door opener in my last mercedes S class. Mercedes are doing away with the option across their ranges because they say nobody orders it anymore. So your app on the car dashboard would be extremely useful.
I have Garadget with MQTT linked to OpenHAB. Then I have OpenHAB linked with Google Assistant/Google Home, and therefore also Android Auto. I can ask via voice to open/close and get the door status via Android Auto.
