Not responding to IFTTT trigger (after three months flawless operation)

I have a very strange behavior pattern.

Nearly every morning when I ask Alexa to open the door (IFTT trigger app) the door opens 6 inches and stops. I open it manually and it works fine the rest of the day. If I use the Garadget app on my Android phone, it always works fine.

I tried deleting the IFTT app and recreating it and that works for a few days then the behavior starts again.

Can you try using your app first thing in the morning instead of IFTTT trigger?
This will tell us if the issue is specific to IFTTT.
