I installed VPN and running on my iPhone and Garadget stopped connecting and giving error:
Garage Door: SocketException: OS Error: Connection refused, errno = 61, address = api.particle.io, port = 53406. Have anyone encountered something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Sounds like Particle blocked the VPN’s IP, probably because of the repeated attacks on the infrastructure from that address. Is there a way for your to whitelist servers in your VPN?
NordVPN has a tool/utility feature called CyberSec that block ads and malware-hosting websites. It seems VPN itself is okay with Garadget, but, when I turned on CyberSec feature, it seems that server api.particle.io gets blocked. Maybe spams utilizes that server or api on that server api.particle.io?
