How do you setup the app to automatically close garage door after being open for extended period of time?

Garadget can be configured to notify you when the door remains open for a certain duration of time. The app will not make the decision to close the door. This is something that can be configured with Garadget connected to one of the supported home automation systems.
I’d suggest looking at IFTTT. I’ve got a few applets on there. One closes the door when I’ve left the neighborhood, on the off chance I didn’t do it myself. So they might have one that would close the door for you. Or if you have an Alexa device, that’s an option too, I believe.

That is the whole reason I got this. My wife and kids leave the garage door open all the time and I just want it to close automatically if it’s been open for 5 min. This should just be a feature instead of having to connect to something else but it’s good to know there is the option.
