I have Garaget for Control4 controlling a myQ Security 2.0+ opener. The device controls the door no problem. Issue is the door status.
Door is closed, laser is centered on the reflector, but instead of pulsing once a second, the laser is going to continuously and reporting that the door is open. I can reboot the device, or quickly open then closed the door, the device begins to operate normally for a period (sometimes an hour, sometimes a few minutes) then returns to rapidly pulsing and reporting door open again.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
Let’s look at the telemetry from the sensor.
Do you happen to have the latest Control4 driver linked in the product page?
That has raw readings from the sensor displayed in the Garadget’s property page inside the composer. With that info we’ll be able to determine what is going on.

I see:
Sensor - Ambient Light >> 100%, RAW: 0, COMP: yes
I did adjust the sensor, moved the reflection pad and reduced the Reflection Threshold to 5%.
The sensor reports being completely blinded. What it the ambient light situation?
Is the sensor pointed at the window?
The alternative installation option is with the reflective tag placed on the wall above the top edge of the garage door so the door blocks it when it starts to open.
