After many happy years using my Garadget, it stopped responding. I believe it may have taken a power surge, as I have proved that the USB power adapter isn’t working. Swapping that out for a known good USB adapter (old iPhone 5V/1A USB A) I am still not able to get any lights on the device. Is there any hope for it or is it time to replace it?
It’s a possibility that the power surge damaged the controller. As a last chance attempt I would try powering it up through the extension port as shown here:
