I was under the assumption that Garadget could tell me that my garage was open/closed when I was away from my home, and that I could control it also. How do you set this up?
That is correct. No special setup is required. Garadget communicates to the Particle cloud server and your client software (mobile app or web interface) talks to the server getting you the control and Garadget’s status from anywhere. This, of course, assumes that your mobile device has Internet connection.
Just to clarify: Garadget itself has to be permanently installed in your garage and remain connected to your home’s WiFi network.
