Does anyone have any knowledge around Garadget and Home Assistant? I have had mine running really well for a good few years however over the past few months, a HA Automation runs telling me my front gate is opening yet the Garadget app tells me it has been closed for a number of hours - I have my Garadget on the front gate wired to a reed switch - the other Garadget I have in my garage does not have any issues and the automation here only runs when the garage door opens! Any help would be appreciated 
Bumping this thread up again, I haven’t had Garaget working in my HomeAssistant setup for quite some time now. It was working at first, but it stopped operating at some point in time and I don’t know when.
That should raise my garage door for sure!
It stopped working because there is no native integration that hooks into the cloud API, and the MQTT schema doesn’t conform to Home Assistant’s cover and sensor schemas directly.
I’ve been able to hack around this some using an Automation that copies and rewrites the status, command, and availability from the default garaget schema to Home Assistant’s MQTT device schema, and back again.
The page I started from was here, which is the HA Garadget page, but I found it to be outdated. I’ll suggest an update to that page when I find an hour to do so.
Then I cross-referenced that page with the MQTT Cover integration page.
Reading both, you get the understanding that they are very different in their implementation.
