Hi, can the unit be used on roller shutter style doors or is it only suitable for flat or folding types?

It should work with any type of barrier. Here’s customer photo of the Garadget used with roller type door:
You may need to adjust the sensor threshold in settings if it’s going to be very close to the reflector.

just what i was looking for . i had thought maybe putting it on the bottom of one side above the safety photosensor with a “L” shape bracket on the door , but wasnt sure if it would interfere with that or not.
You’re very welcome. Also, since you’re installing Garadget so close to the door, you can use a reed switch instead of laser sensor. More information in these posts.
