Laser not working out of box

I completed the installation and everything works except for the laser/reflector. There is no blinking or light of any kind coming from the front of the device. I have changed reflector settings with no result, reset and reinstalled twice, and the troubleshooting only mentions “confirm laser is blinking” which it is not. I think the laser is defective from the box. Is there anything else I can try?

Please make sure that the setting for the scan period is at default 1 second.
