I’ve been using 3 Garadget devices successfully at my home for several years. I just received a new-in-box Garadget device from ebay and I’m having trouble setting it up.
When I run through the setup process using the iOS app, the Garadget device successfully joins my Wi-Fi network, the device LED changes to the breathing Cyan mode, and I can see the Garadget is connected to my Wi-Fi (2.4 MHz) network via my Unifi network controller. However, the setup process on my iPhone never completes. I’ve reset the device and tried to set it up several times. I’ve read the troubleshooting guide and community posts, and setup is still failing. I haven’t been able to connect to the local web interface on the Garadget device. When I try to connect to the web interface, I get a message asking if I want to download a Hello file. I captured the device ID (46005F000851353532343835) from the Garadget app during the setup process. I also tried to manually Claim the Garadget using the device ID while logged into the Garadget web site without success. When I click the Claim Garadget button there is no response from the web page. Can you please take a look at the Garadget backend to see if the device ID is associated to another account? Thanks, Steve
Hi Dennis. Never mind. I got the new Garadget device working. It was a problem with DHCP on home Wi-Fi network.
