I unplugged my ancient Garadget to troubleshoot a constant cyan light with a “offline” error. I think i broke the micro USB socket when I unplugged it. If I plug in the power cable and lift the power wire while applying pressure with a toothpick to the number 5 pin where the micro usb exits to the circuit board, I can wake the unit up. However, as soon as I relieve pressure on the #5 pad, it powers off. I found the post about pin 4 & 5 of the extension port and confirmed they work as power input. Now to find an old computer to DVD audio cable (mpc2 or dupont conntecter) that will work.
Thank you in advance.
Power now coming through extension port. Back in business. Added note, I think my access token changed about the time my “offline” error occurred. I had to update my Home Assistant instance so it would communicate with the Garadget.
